Coconut Palm: Images of this plant evokes the idea of a tropical island paradise. The single seed inside is the world’s second largest seed and is very nutritious. The clear liquid found inside is called Coconut Water and the white endosperm that lines the inside walls of the seed is called Coconut meat in a mature coconut or jelly when the coconut is young. Coconut milk is produced when the mature meat is grated and squeezed dry.

Banana Orchid: The national flower of the Cayman Islands and the most well known of Cayman’s 26 native orchids. The Banana Orchid blooms in June.
